The Federal Regional Sales Director is responsible for driving sales and achieving revenue quotas through the sale of video conferencing and audio/visual products and services to Federal/DOD clients and Prime Contractors. The position requires the ability to manage complex sales situations and large projects in the Federal/DOD environment. Candidate must have demonstrated experience in building relationships with multiple large accounts including both government agencies and prime contractors. Will be required to develop and execute an annual sales plan for assigned territory in line the with the company strategy. Business forecasting (weekly, monthly and quarterly including consistent growth in pipeline development) required. Candidate will work with sales engineers and sales management to create solutions that address key business challenges with a focus on AGTs value proposition. Must be able to engage and manage cross-functional/virtual resources as part of extended team. The candidate must have demonstrated prospecting skills, be a self-starter, a strong closer and be able to build and maintain positive ongoing relationships to maximize sales for the company. Understanding of Federal government/DOD agencies, prime contractors, government procurement and a strong technical and solution level knowledge of unified communications, video conferencing, multi-media and related applications is required. A good understanding of Cisco video, Polycom, Lifesize, and AMX/Crestron technologies is a plus.
|Duties:||Essential Job Functions|
Execute the business plan, with emphasis on developing and maintaining strong business relationships at senior customer levels.
Develop and implement strategies to drive transactional sales to meet or exceed assigned sales targets through direct sales and alliance partnerships with prime contractors.
Develop and implement strategies to create strategic account wins resulting in large deal sizes.
Ensure the company successfully meets agreed revenue and profit targets across all solution sets.
Promote and raise the profile of the AGT solution offerings, ensuring that the company achieves positive brand equity and captures market/mind share.
Develop appropriate presentations for customer proposals in order to win business and meet company goals.
Develop a comprehensive customer relations strategy and monitor its effectiveness through regular contact with customers.
Responsible for accurate forecasting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Reports on market changes affecting company products and services and identify and report on competitive trends (products, promotions etc.).
Make prospecting a part of the regular routine ensuring that new prospects are being added to the pipeline on a consistent basis.
Effectively moves the prospect through the entire sales process, this includes taking an active role in the RFP process.
Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars, and trade shows.
5+ years of sales experience within the visual collaboration industry.
Government/DOD sales experience in the areas of videoconferencing, a/v or IP knowledge is preferred.
Experience with working with Prime government contractors.
Consistent attainment of goals and proven track record of quota achievement.
Strong experience in consultative sales of visual collaboration solutions.
Superior written and verbal communications skills.
Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
Results-focused, team-oriented and a strong work ethic.
Ability to travel as required to exceed objectives.
Effectively manage territory travel and expenses.
Bachelor\'s Degree in business or equivalent work experience.
